Welcome to Novar

A Global Public Diplomacy Network

A non-profit platform empowering people to gather, discuss, and engage with the issues of their time — locally and globally.

What Is Novar?

Novar is an independent, non-profit public diplomacy network built on one belief: diplomacy shouldn't belong only to governments and institutions, it should belong to people.

Public diplomacy has traditionally meant how institutions engage with the public. Novar flips that model; we believe people themselves can practice diplomacy directly with one another, gathering to discuss the issues shaping their world, from climate to security to the economy, in an open, honest, and constructive way.

Novar operates through a simple model: local gatherings held in cities around the world, led by our network of country Ambassadors, followed by a global gathering that brings people from those local conversations together on one stage.

At its core, Novar is about one thing: giving people a platform, and a seat at the table, to engage in the public diplomacy of their time.

Our What, Why and How

What Do We Want

Every movement begins with a question. Ours was simple: do people really have a space to come together and discuss the issues that shape their lives, openly and honestly, without an agenda imposed on them?

Novar was founded on a conviction. For people to genuinely engage in public diplomacy, they need:

  • A space to gather with others who care about the same issues.
  • The chance to discuss those issues openly, without pressure to reach a fixed conclusion.
  • A platform that connects local conversations to a wider, global one.

These principles rest on one clear belief: the issues of our time, from climate to security to the economy, shouldn't only be discussed in institutions and conference rooms far removed from everyday people. They should be a shared conversation, open to anyone willing to take part.

From this conviction, our journey began: to create spaces where people can gather, talk, and practice public diplomacy together.

Why Do We Want that:

Our why is rooted in a simple idea. The biggest issues of our time affect everyone, yet the conversations about them often happen without everyone in the room.

We are social beings, and every society is shaped by dialogue, by the conversations people have with one another about what matters and what should change. Too often those conversations are limited to the few with access, platforms, or titles.

We believe that public diplomacy shouldn't be reserved for institutions alone. It should be something anyone can take part in: a gathering, a conversation, a seat at the table.

That is the why of our existence.

How We Will Achieve That:

We achieve this by creating gatherings, local and global, where people come together to practice public diplomacy.

Every few months, Novar hosts local events in countries around the world, led by our network of country Ambassadors or Leads. These are open, in person discussions on relevant global and local issues, from climate to security to economics.

From these local gatherings, Novar brings a group forward to our flagship global gathering, where people from different countries, backgrounds, and local conversations come together for one larger discussion.

Through this model, Novar creates a simple but powerful platform: people, gathered, practicing the public diplomacy of their time.

Novar's Reach

Novar believes that in today's interconnected world, the issues we face rarely stop at a border. Climate, security, and the economy are shared challenges, and public diplomacy, the practice of engaging across those borders, belongs to everyone, not only institutions.

That's why Novar brings people together across countries, cultures, and continents, uniting them not by nationality, profession, or background, but by a shared willingness to sit down and talk about what matters.

Novar operates on two connected levels:

Novar Local

Every six months, Novar hosts local gatherings in cities around the world, led by our network of country Ambassadors. These events bring people together in their own communities to practice public diplomacy, discussing the issues most relevant to them, from local concerns to global ones.

Novar Global

From these local gatherings, Novar brings a group of participants together for our flagship Global Summit, a larger gathering where people from different countries and local conversations come together for one shared discussion.

Together, Local Chapters and the Global Summit form the fabric of Novar's model: a public diplomacy network that starts in communities and grows into a global conversation.

Our Future

Novar is currently in the process of formation. At this stage, we are building our network of country Ambassadors, expanding our community, and establishing our governance structure.

At Novar, we envision a world where people, regardless of nationality, background, or profession, have a genuine platform to practice public diplomacy: to gather, discuss, and engage with the issues shaping their lives. Our goal is to connect people locally and globally, creating spaces for open discussion, shared understanding, and real human connection.

We are building a network that starts with a single conversation and grows into something much larger: a truly global public diplomacy movement, made up of people willing to sit down, listen, and engage.

Our Team

Novar Network is currently in the stage of formation. At this early phase, the organisation is led by our Founder & Executive Director, supported by a small Advisory Board guiding our strategy and growth.

As we carefully expand our network, we plan to gradually build a diverse team of volunteers, contributors, and future members who will help bring Novar’s vision to life. Our focus is on creating a collaborative and inclusive environment where young changemakers, advisors, and partners can contribute meaningfully while shaping the organisation’s direction.
